How close to next birthday?

My DD will be 7 weeks from her 8th birthday when we cruise. How close to the next birthday do the kids need to be to be bumped up? I normally wouldn't try, but her DB will be in the Lab and I thought that there might be times they could be together if they both were in the Lab. Has anyone had any success in moving their kids up?

From what I've read the child is SUPPOSE to be within one month of their next birthday. But you can always check once you get on board, I have read where there are exceptions. I also asked this question because my DD 12 will be within one month of turning 13 on our cruise, and she wants to go in with the teens.
