anyone have any idea on this? how do you know? if I ask my guide he's gonna say any day now but how do you know for sure?

Any day now ! :teeth:

I would expect to see AKV selling for at least well over another year now. With BLT sales just started and SSR soon to reopen sales plus the anticipated sales of GCV, AKV is just one of several resorts actively being marketed. AKV began sales while SSR was still selling and had a period of time when it was the only resort being sold, but that changed a few weeks ago when BLT started sales and the THVs were announced as another phase at SSR.

I'll be very surprised if AKV sells out within the next 2 years. (Sales began there in February, 2007.)

The Jambo AKV units sold out in about 16 months, during which time the choice was AKV or SSR and sales for AKV were brisk. Jambo makes up just under 30% of all units that will be in AKV, the rest are in Kidani. Kidani just started selling a few months ago and is now competing with BLT. I am guessing 2 more years and probably longer.

Another vote for 2 - 3 years. I expect that people will wake up and realize that the US is in a financial mess and sales will slow.

My neighbor just told me yesterday that he can't retire next year because he found out Friday that his 401K during the last couple of years has gone from $400,000 to $23,000. He said that he never looks at it and that he thought that only banks were being affected. He thought that he was safe. :sad2:

I think neighbor may be exagerating a bit. I guess it's possible to have lost 94% of the value of ones portfolio in the last couple years but even if true, the blame for most of that would be bad investment strategy (bad being an understatement).

WOW, now that would be one really bad fund!

I doubt it was that big of a loss. Funds rebalance and there isn't a fund manager out there that could be that bad. If he did lose that much, it's his own fault for not reading the statements.

If I remember correctly he said that a large portion of the 401K was locked into company stock and he couldn't touch it. Even if he exaggerated the numbers, I know how he feels, we have also taken a bit of a hit. :sad1:
