How close is the ride vehicle to the screen at Soarin'? Today I took my two little guys to the movie theater to see a free showing of Spirit (a movie about a horse). We sat down in the middle of the theater. The screen was pretty big and the sound was loud. After about 3 minutes, we had to move back. All of the movement on the screen so close to me was giving me motion sickness. I did much better once we moved back. Later in the day, I remembered a time I had to leave an IMAX theater due to the fast motion on the screen.
What do you think my chances of enjoying Soarin' are? I have read other posts commenting that it is a mild ride and people who typically experience motion sickness do fine. I can ride any roller coaster or spinning ride fine. It seems my challenge with motion sickness is more of a visual thing.
I would LOVE to ride Soarin', but not at the expense of it ruining my day. One part of me says "Go for it! Don't make such a big deal about it," especially since DS 5 wants to ride it. But the other part of me says, "It is just one ride, who cares, just skip it!" What do all of you think?
Much thanks!
