I was going to say tourist trap but that just sounds so negative!!

We live near Cornwell Turkey Farm (5 miles away) which, believe it or not, is a popular stop for bus tours in this area!!! It's not only a dinner theater spot, it's also a turkey farm!!!:teeth: :bounce:

I live on Cape Cod. It's full of tourist in the summer!
We play tourist ourselves, if you can't beat em...join em!

Um...I'd say 25 minutes from the best parks in the world! Maybe less...depending on if you wanted WDW, US/IOA, or SeaWorld.:teeth:

Hmmmm I guess the closest tourist thing to us is the Conner Prairie Living history Museum. It is about 15 min away.

Does Myrtle Beach count? If so, that's about an hour and a half away, and I am leaving at 10 AM sharp Friday for a long, hopefully relaxing weekend. :) Good thing I can shop and eat fried shrimp while it rains outside all weekend! :smooth:

uhhhhh..... Golden Gate is about 40 minutes away. I cant think of anything closer.

Delaware Ohio is a tourist trap during Sept.
The Little Brown Jug harness race is during our Fair.

Big money+out of towners+locals=drunks....

That is why we stay away from the big race on Thursday!

We're about 10 minutes from Woodfield Mall. I don't know if I'd consider it an interest but people are bussed in by the bus load (haha) during peak season. We don't go there around Christmas unless we really, really have to and then it's usually on a Saturday night.

i live in the catskill mountains. about 20 minutes from woodstock. skiing is also very big here.

Hmm. I'm about 45 minutes away from Philadelphia - home to the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross House, Edgar Allen Poe home, Independence Hall, South Street (remember the song "Meet Me On South Street :p )soft pretzels, cheese steaks, Franklin Institute, the fantastic summers on Penns Landing etc.

I'm also about 45 minutes away from Valley Forge - where Washington wintered during the Revolutionary War.

There are a couple of little attractions around here that locals go to. One is the Keith House. I've been there a million times for different festivals and Halloween story nights, but other than having Revolutionary War ties, I forget why it's an attraction.
 :D

The area I live in is rich with Revolutionary War history and monuments. :)

We're about a 45 minute drive from Niagara Falls.:)

I live in Panama City Beach. It's going to get crazy here very soon. :jester:

We're expecting anywhere from 2-3 million springbreakers, its interesting to say the least.

I've got quite a few close to me.

The Floirda Aquarium - 15 minutes
Ybor City - 20 minutes
Busch Gardens - 25 minutes
Gulf beaches - 45 minutes
WDW - 75 minutes

We live literally right across the street from Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. I can see it from my upstairs window. :D

We live in a college town and are about 1 1/2 hours away from WDW

I live about 30-45 minutes from DT Chicago. I know lots of DIS'ers come here. :teeth:

I live 2.5 hours from Williamsburg, VA (Busch Gardens) and 3 hours from Virginia Beach.

I'm a bit closer than Saffron to all these things. Well, except the Keith House. On clear days we can see Center City easily.
