Are the Pack-n-Plays cleaned by mousekeeping between guests?? How clean or dirty are they??? I know babies/toddlers chew, drool and spit up on the rails and sides.

How do you clean them?? Do I spray it down with anything like Lysol?

I plan on bringing my own fitted sheet... but how do they handle the thing?

I have never used one at DVC, but I think a great way to clean it (or at least sterilize it a little) is to use the bleach/anti-bacterial wipes and wipe down all of the surfaces.

Kooshies make sheets for the pack n' plays... They are like $10.... We bought one and I didn't have to worry about how dirty it was or wasn't. I also bring the Lysol antibacterial wipes to wipe around the top where a standing baby can put their hands.
However the last 2 we used with friends at WDW were in good shape.

we have used them at the comtemporary, and they were very clean, i always bring a can of lysol and spray it before i put my sheet on it.

Realistically, there is no good way to clean them...short of scrubing them with a strong disinfectant and hoseing them down. A wipedown with a disinfectant wipe or spray is usually not sufficient to kill many bacteria and viruses, especially on a nylon fabric surface. Unless the fabric is saturated with disinfecant for several minutes, viable organisms will still be present. Having said that, a quick cleaning is better than doing nothing. We give the pack-n-play the once over inspection looking for any obvious soiling and use a clean crib sheet provded in the unit.

I find It's best to not to give it too much thought. Your little one will be touching everywhere in the unit (and at the parks). This touching is always promptly followed by the infant handwashing technique (fingers in mouth).

Yup, Johnnie Fedora is right. If it will make you feel better, just use a clean sheet on the bottom and clean around the top rails with a little dishwashing liquid and water. Rinse a little and WIPE DRY with PAPER TOWELS. Wipes mostly just move the dirt around.

Any disinfectant spray will leave a residue behind (and as Johnnie F said, most people don't use it properly to start with) - and it ends up on little fingers and into the mouth. I doubt you want this. Trust me, the kids are better off eating a little dirt.

we have used them at pop twice both times they were clean but i still clean them very well they come with tight fitting sheet but we bring our own i use something called virual ender to clean them its something we use at work it comes in spray and moist towel its proven to kill hiv/hepatitis/herpies and a bunch more influenza and virual type stuff it's a little overkill my dw says but working as a FDNY paramedic i'm always worried to contract something i'm not sure where you can buy or find this the city buys it thru contracts maybe a search on the computer could help but anything you use let dry then wipe off with water moist towel as all these things including lysol can cause skin and mouth rashes from irratation but i'd say the pack and plays are very clean if not call guest services and request a new one
