I am currently very unhappy with the way my family doctor treats my thyroid problems and am looking to go back to using an endocronoligist. I never really felt comfortable with the endo I used in the past and that is why I let my family doctor start treating me.

Anyway, I am trying to find a new doctor to go to and don't want to just pick a name out of the phone book. What is the best way to find a doctor and check his/her credentials? Maybe a website has this info? Any help appreciated.

Try this..... http://www.blackbookonline.info/bbostate.htm Go to your state and see if professional licenses are listed. Used to use this at work for professional reasons, and have used it to "Screen" my own docs.

Note though that most doctors have some sort of malpractice pending(innocent till proven guilty and everyone has unhappy customers)....and that many things are settled out of court, so they might not have record of it here.
