How can I sample margaritas in Epcot?

Without making an ADR at La Hacienda? I had the flight of margaritas at LH last year but would like to have the same flight this time, w/o an ADR. Is there a way to do this?

I really liked the Mango Fire margarita...is there a way to get one w/o going to LH?

La Cava de Tequila inside the Mexican pavilion is a bar that serves a lot of different margaritas. They don't have the one you are talking about but they have a pretty extensive selection.

I second the recommendation for La Cava de Tequila!!! AWESOME margaritas (and lots of of other drinks and tequila tastings too) I highly recommend the jalapeno and the cucumber margaritas (and no they aren't that frozen junk)

La Cava has done a margarita flight (5 different margaritas) in the past but I am not sure they do it now, and if they do it's only at certain times.

I have been trying to get into La Cava for a year now and it's either too crowded, or I'm not with my husband and don't want to go in there without him.

It looks great though, OP. I hope you make it in and have a great time.

:)

Can't understand why you wouldn't want to go in without your husband...I go in there by myself all the time.

It's because I'm always with my son. If I were alone I would love to go in and sit at the bar.

There's no seats at the bar, the bar is standing room only. There is a separate seating area, but the place is quite small. People do bring children in there but I get parents not wanting to. Last time I was there (first weekend of food & wine) they were telling the parents they had to leave their strollers outside. Don't know if that is a new thing (personally I hope it is) or just because of the extra crowds F&W brings in on the weekends.

We love both La Cava and La Hacienda but a headsup....

La Cava does not (at least as of Feb. 2012) take TIW. La Hacienda does. We would probably have done our tequila flight over at the restaurant before dinner had we noticed that earlier.

Don't you need an ADR, even if you want to do a margarita flight? We are going the week before Thanksgiving, traditionally a "slow" time but they're offering free dining at that time so I'm expecting crowds, hence the need for ADRs.

I would love to just go back and do the flight but there are 4 of us adults and 2 kids. We'd probably get 2 flights and 2-4 margaritas. Oh, and sodas for the kids, LOL.

I think you're confusing someone's reference to a tequila flight vs. the on-again/off-again availability of a margarita flight.

I don't think La Hacienda ever had margarita flights, and you probably should have an ADR if you want to go there. La Cava is just a small bar, no ADRs necessary.
