Hi,

Didn't know you guys were here. Guess I should look around more. :)

So my question says it all... Does anyone have experience with this? Any tips? I'm so super stoked there might be a possibility that I can actually have waffles this trip!!!! I thought I was going to miss out.

NO reason to miss out on Mickey Waffles if you are gluten free :goodvibes

So if you are staying at a Disney Resort most of the will have the products necessary right there and ready. We have had them at Pop, AoA, POR, POFQ, and the Poly food courts.

On your dinding reservations just note that you are GF and the chef will come out and assist you. Please note that some places do not offer Mickey waffles, but I know you can usually get them at 1900 Park Fare and Ohanas. They do Vans Waffles at The Cyrstal Palace and Akershaus.

Hope that helps!!! Have a great vacation!:thumbsup2

My niece got them when we went to Askershaus.

The chef came out and asked what her needs were. He told her what 'regular' plates of food would be OK for her and she got her plate of waffles.
She said they were very good.

I am so happy to hear you had them there! We were shutout the past couple trips with only Vans as a choice (not our favorites) in Norway. Maybe they got enough complaints and got a dedicated Mickey Waffle maker. Then again, my daughter wasn't there for the waffles, it was all about the princesses!:lmao:

It was a couple of years ago.

My niece is an adult (at Askershaus for her young daughter).
She was happy with everything gluten free she had (even the beer at The Land).

And Babycakes - we made a lot of 'supply trips' there.

We have has gluten free Mickey waffles at roaring forks quick service in Wilderness Lodge, POR Riverside food court, chef mickeys and Tusker House! Disney is the best for gluten free even at the food courts and quick counter service places!

i haven't been in 3 years (am going back soon!). the deal is they need to have the dedicated mickey waffle iron on site with the mix. i had them twice at kona cafe, i think the waffles actually came from next door at ohana. i also had them at kouzzina and 1900 park fare but again, that was 3 years ago. i have heard complaints of van waffles being the only option at some places. not that i dislike them but if i am paying for a meal plan at disney i personally do not want frozen waffles either.:goodvibes
