Well, at least now I can say we're going to Disney "next month", but I'm so anxious!!

The weather here is so grey and rainy, it's downright depressing!

How can I make it through the next 38 days??

I hate to say it, but should I take a break from the Disboards for a couple of weeks??

I've removed my copy of the unofficial guide from my bedside table, but I'm still thinking of my trip every waking minute!!

Help!

I know it's hard. I'm finally down to 4 days!!!

I think it's important to enjoy the time leading up to the vacation.

This anticipation and planning stage is an important as the vacation itself because it last MUCH much longer.......lol

As long as you aren't neglecting anything important in your life, there really isn't any harm in obsessing over the trip.

We've been trying not to obsess. As you can see, we've limited ourselves to only going to the DIS boards at night after we put the kids to bed.:jester:

Go into a dark room, curl up into the fetal position, rock back and forth, and sing "It's a Small World. " :D

Try watching the Travel Channel. They're having a ton of stuff on Disney.

I am with the previous poster, enjoy the anticipation. Before you know it will will be on your way home wondering how your trip went so fast.
The older I get, the more I realize I need to stop wishing my time away!!!
It will be here before you know it, keep posting, that is part of the excitement!!!

I'm with you Dixielander!! As you can see by my counter, we will be there next month too, but the time doesn't seem to go fast enough. I don't want to wish all my time away either, but i'd like to be in Disney now. The weather her in NJ has been awful the last few weeks. I think we could all use some of that Florida sun right about now.:sunny: Our trips will be here b4 we know it and w'ell be marching down main street thinking.......i thought we'd never get here!!!!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

dixielander- looks like we are going about 2 days before you. I know how you feel but I am trying to enjoy the time leading up to our trip too because I know when that time arrives it will fly by FAST and be over. Reading the DISboards is actually helping me to anticipate my trip even more. :teeth:

That is, without a doubt, one of the best thread titles I've ever seen. You've made my day! Thanks.

LOL!!! You made me choke on my orange soda Gaiusrex!

Let's see.....
Start 'laying out clothes', put stickers on a calendar everyday, make your 'take with you' list, go to the P.O. for your mail stop, cancel your paper for that week, try looking through 'disney' colored glasses!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

We're about ready to do just that! Only 37 more days and time is quickly ticking away. Do we want to miss a minute of life though? No, just savor every moment of it - and enjoying the magic of Disney can do it for all of us!

Have a great trip - "Come on everybody, let's do the dance!!":jumping1: :jumping1:

How about doing scrapbooking????

That is always fun. Especially if you are doing an old Disney trip.

It will be here before you know it.

I have no empathy for you. I have another 249 days until I go....:p    :jumping1: :jumping1: :rotfl:

:) My dds and I made a chain link to count down the days. It really helps them understand how soon we're going. I also started making goody bags for each part of the trip. For example we have back packs ready for the flight with goodies. Then for each day at the park we pack little zip lock bags with goodies and stuff to do while waiting for rides. This little stuff gave me things to do until the big trip.

What I'm worried about is when we come home and that let down. What do you do post Disney.

HI; THINK OF ALL THE FUN WE HAD , AND COUNT OUR BLESSING ,

THAT WE DID GET TO GO TOO DISNEY

HAVE A SUPER TRIP

I am WDW obsessed ALL of time, before the trip, during the trip, after the trip. There must be some kind of medication for that? I refuse to even put a counter on my posts until we make the reservations for our next trip, which should be...sigh....tear....September. Both too far away, yet way too soon. I still need time to grieve from my last trip, last Oct. Really, folks, I cry every time I leave. I should just get a job there. That would probably cure me really faaaassssttt. Is it too early to pack?

Hey spark-plug, what do you put in your goodie bags, just curious. Oh, and how old are your kids? We always try to buy a new DVD for the kids to watch as we drive down, but different goodies might be great too. Thanks!

Watch a Disney movie. They're usually 90 minutes a piece and the time flies when you are watching them. If you've got it really bad you could just watch Disney movies every waking hour until you leave!

Dixie....

I hear ya! We'll be going to the POFQ 5/20 - 28 and it seems like every day I'm asking my DD who she thinks we'll see there or what her favorite thing is. I think I'm more obsessed about it than her. So much for getting things done during the day at work. My mind is on all these great web sites out here.

We haven't even left for this trip and I'm already planning on when to go next!
