i would like to take advantage of the current skye promotion for a free ticket to dlp, but would lile to do a small 1 or 2 days away but on the cheap. so does anyone have any idea how i can do it super cheap? i dont mind staying offsite as long as its not too far away. i cant drive. it will just be me and my 2 year old. i can ethier fly from any scottish airport or travel down to london somehow for the eurostar.

any ideas? i dont mind when we go, as long as its not in september, as we're already going for 8 days then

I would also love to know the answer to this lol! Can it be done?

The Kyriad usually has some very good deals on its website, also look at the Explorers, Magic Circus and Dream Castle although the Kyriad is usually the cheapest of the four. You can get even cheaper accommodation if you go to Val d'Europe and beyond, ie.Torcy and Bussy St Georges, but I'm not sure how easy it will be going to and fro on the train with a pushchair.

As for when to go :confused3 how long are the Sky tickets valid until?

The Kyriad gets a very good review and depending on when you go, you could probably get a night for about £90.

Flights are best booked as early as possible, so you might get lucky with that.

We've also travelled to London by train and then got the Eurostar - again book as early as possible for the best deals.

I'm sure there will be cheaper hotels too - but maybe a train stop or two away. It really depends on what you're looking for.

I like planning trips even if I'm not going on them :)

Did flight search through skyscanner and found following easyjet flights to Paris pretty cheap:

From Glasgow:

Wed 15 August 2012 arrive 1140

Friday 17 August leave at 1210

£77 pp (£154)

Also from Glasgow similar times:

Wed 9th to Fri 11th*May- £100 pp (£200)

Wed 6th to Friday 8th June- £200

From Edinburgh:

Tues 13th to wed 14 march arrive 1710, leave 1740- £71 each (£142)

Sat 12 to mon 14 may edin- £200

Cheap accommodation- 2 nights in a studio appt at serris rive gauche, last minute.com - £108. (this is one rer stop from Disney)

I imagined you would want a full day in the parks which is why all but one of the above are based over 3 days/ 2 nights so the middle day you could use your tickets.

Based on August dates it could be done for approx £262 for both of you, plus airport transfer and spending money. :wizard:

we booked flights for 4 £269 ( from Bristol) and the Kyriad £84 per night inc breakfast

If you are not worried about dates why not try and find dates with cheap flights first as they will probably be more of a problem than the room. There seem to be cheap hotel deals offsite most of the time.

Don't book October half term!!!
I have managed to get 2 sets of tickets for the 30th and
31st, but hotel prices are too high, so I shall be keeping an eye out over the coming months.

the Etap val d'europe through Accorhotels is around £50 per room night, very basic but very very close and convenient for the train station (its right outside it :)).
