How can DVC members help VB CMs?

Some DVC members have contacted DVC, Member Services, etc. & asked how we, as a DVC members, can help VB CMs. It was suggested to me that we can show our support by writing notes, emails, etc. - notes of appreciation, notes to show our support of the VB team as they go through these stressful days. Let the CMs know you are thinking of them. I can only begin to imagine the morale right now having lost so much. Notes can be sent to the Member Satisfaction Member, Carli D'Agostino using the MS addrerss. I would put something relevant to VB in the subject line.

I am trying to keep things in perspective. I have been through two hurricanes in recent years, & I understand the stress before, during & after the hurricane. And what I went though is only a drop in the bucket compared to FL residents.

When I called MS today I was told that there is some kind of food drive being organized for the CMs at VB. I asked to whom I could write a check and was told that the logistics are still being worked out. If anyone calls MS next week and gets further details about this effort for our VB CMs, please post! Thanks!

Madcoco, you are most welcome!

Jean, the CM I spoke to did mention a food drive, but it is being coordinated by CMs for CMs. At this time there is no means for DVC Members to participate directly. That is why I was given the United Way address. Of colurse the Red Cross is another agency looking for hurricane donations.

Is there any way to make sure the money, donations, etc. goes directly to the VB cast members? Can you specify when you write the check to United Way? Or can we send donations directly to VB with our notes, etc? If anyone hears anything please let us know.
