Just got back on Monday, and the Fort was full, but tolerable. The parks on the other hand, were nothing like I had ever seen for October!
We were there from Oct 10-14th. and you would have thought it was April. Do NOT go to Epcot on the weekends during Food and Wine! We did ok, since we were there super early and got the "big" rides out of the way early, however once we walked over to World showcase around 3pm, you could barely move it was so crowded and once we managed to make it to Mexico, you could not even get in the door, let alone to the boat ride! There were lines for Tequila tasting blocking the way, and quite a few groups there just to drink. Not what we were there for, so we decided to end our day there and head back to the Fort! Also, the lines for most of the food kiosks were about 30+ people deep, so we were not about to wait in line to try any of the foods either.
Hollywood Studios was also crowded. Movie ride averaged a 30 min wait. I have never been in an outdoor queue for that ride, but this time we were. Usually in Oct. it is 15min. at the most for that ride if that helps.
Good luck, and plan your park days wisely and you should do fine. Hopefully you will have better luck, we might have hit the week for school fall breaks???
