How Busy Is The Second Week In June?

Hi there!
We are currently debating planning another Walt Disney World vacation. Last week we went the second week in March during spring break, and while some people were on spring break, it wasn't really in full swing until the very end of the week. This year, however, the only time we'll have available to go is either right before Christmas, or the second week in June.

Judging by what I've seen, June looks like the better idea...(My boyfriend and I could possibly go the second week of December...is this time as crowded as Christmas week?)

What do you guys think?:confused3

We've been the second week of June for the past 3 visits, and it wasn't bad at all. The only advice I have is to stay away from the park that has early entry IF you don't get there early. We didn't, and had to wait forever at DS. Fastpasses were gone for TSM and Rockin Roller Coaster by 2:30. But that was the only time we felt it was extremely crowded.

We've gone in June the last 3 times and will again next year. It is crowded, I won't lie. Get there early. We always take a break and then head back later. I always use a touring plan and won't wait longer than 20 minutes for any ride. Use the FP as much as possible. We really love this time of year. School is over, and we can be a family with no real life interruptions.

Good Luck with the planning.

multiple June visitor both second and third week. It can be crowded and it can be hot. Still with planning you can avoid long lines. The only time we waited very long at all this past June was for Test Track and that's because we were doing it a third time and were using fast passes for a third ride on Soarin'.

Understanding how to sue the fast pass system is really important. I have a daughter that loves Peter Pan. PP is a ride that often has 60+ minute waits and runs out of FPs. One morning we arrived for rope drop. Upon entering my son and I headed over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for fast passes. We then hit Peter Pan right as they let the line in. My daughter wanted to go again later in the trip. I watched the fats pass return time. It hit 5:00 PM a little before we were going to take our afternoon break. I got the fast passes and we pretty much walked on when we go back later.

Also, try to do CS a little off the normal lunch hours - an 11:30 lunch instead of 12:00 for example - or eat your CS at your resort.

Is the second week in June less crowded than the week of Christmas?

Definitely. The week of Christmas is the single busiest time of the year for WDW, with parks actually closing due to hitting capacity limits periodically throughout the day.
