I have a major choice to make. We have reservations at Royal Pacific and we got an awsome deal(119). And we have can get a Campsite at the Fort Wilderness for 25. I love the front of the line access but is it really busy in Sept? We have stayed at Hard Rock before and loved the FOTL but I am not sure if Sept is a busy time so is it worth all the extra money? We have never stayed at Fort Wilderness (we have a camper ) so I really am having a hard time deciding. We are not going to disney this time. We have 2 sons 8 and 18mths. Just can decided what would be best. Thanks for any info you can give me.

September is usually one of the quietest months of the year. The weekends tend to get slightly busier. If you get to the parks at the right times, you can even hit most of the rides without even using your FOTL cards.

September is actually a time we look forward to staying off site and not worrying about lines at all, nor FOTL cards.

You will be fine with the lines/crowds -- and my idea of "no crowds" is lines that are 15 minutes or less.

We'll be there the same time as you :)

We are going Sept. 25-29th & are staying offsite at the Radisson for $59 a night :cool1: Its great to know that it wont be so crowded, this will be our first trip to universal & IOA

September is one of the months with the least crowds. Very rarely will anything have more than a 20 min wait.

We went twice during the second week of September and the parks were empty both times. We still stayed at PBH since it is the most awesome themepark resort hotel anywhere and we got over half off the rack rate with our PAP's. I just love not having to worry about driving into the park everyday. Just roll out of bed, head to the boat dock and, boom, we're there. It also makes it really easy to enjoy the afternoon at the pool and the evening at CW.

We'll be staying at HRH from 9/18 to 9/21, then transferring to the Poly for the Disney part of our trip. I've never stayed on site at Univ before and am so looking forward to it! :Pinkbounc

I would def stay at Univ., especially since you won't be doing Disney this time. Have a great time!

Jellieo, how cool! I am staying offsite, at the rosen shingle creek your same exact dates. Then heading over to disney till the 28th. I so wanted to stay onsite. But, couldnt find anything for under 239 per night. Which would have been a budget buster. Since I only had 5 months to save. For my son and I. And disney. I just cannot wait. Have a wonderful trip!!

Oh, and OP, you should stay for that rate!! If i could have gotten a rate like that. I would definately stay :thumbsup2

I'm so excited. We'll be at HRH the 17th to the 23rd. I've been planning this for 5 months and haven't seen that many people that are going to be there when we are so that crowds should be light.

Are your kids out of school that week like mine or do you both have little ones?

Ok, this is my first post and I have been lurking for months. I'm leaving for Universal on 9-2 and I was wondering if anyone knows if the crowds will be large because of Labor Day?

We will be there Sept. 21-25. I say its for my husband's 40th and son's 9th but really its for me. I had a fortune cookie today that told me that I would have great enjoyment on an upcoming trip. That was a great Birthday present for myself. So you see Sept. will be a great month, the cookie has spoken. :bday: :cake:

I just wanted to say something and I figured you guys would understand.

I've had my room at HRH booked since May and I've been checking the Universal Orlando website almost daily because everyone talked about how the rates change. Well, the FL resident rate hasn't changed since May, I'm here to tell you. I mean I'm not really complaining because how bad can things be when you are leaving for Universal in (count 'em) 18 DAYS  , but it sure would have been a nice surprise for a little last minute drop in the room rate!

Sometimes I feel like I'm looking at stale website. Like my computer keeps reloading the cached page even though everything has really changed. *laugh*

OK, yes, I'm strange, but I was sitting here this morning checking the rates yet again and just had to get this off my chest!

Thanks and everyone have a great trip - hope to see you there!
