How Busy in November?

We're thinking about a week in November 2010. It would be before the Thanksgiving holiday (out before the holiday reservation group). Compared the the first week in September (after the kids are "supposed" to be back in school), will it basically be the same? This past September the campground had plenty of openings and the parks did not seem busy. And will the weather be "pool like"?

Thanks

FW is booked solid now for 15 Oct to 1 Dec 2010 and when we started getting ressies back almost 2 months ago in August over 400 days out from our first nigt. We currenty have a ressie in a preferred site from 15 Oct the 5 Nov and a second from 15 Nov to 1 Dec in a premium with nothing yet for 5 -15 Nov. We were there last year during that time frame and the parks were not that crowded, but FW is always booked solid so you are now even later than us for booking in Nov 2010 by like 3 months so GOOD LUCK.

Keep checking though...we got our Nov18-Nov 27 2009 reservation in August of 2009...people cancel and change their plans. Especially when they are booking that far in advance.

As far as your other questions, I "hear" it's very nice the week before, the week of Thanksgiving as far as parks and how busy it is. Never been, will do a trip report when we get back. As for the weather, we don't know what to expect...some say cold/no swimming others say warm. We are from Michigan so basically we would be fine with 60's-70's air temps for swimming.

Good Luck!

I just booked premium sites for Thanksgiving week in 2010. I tried several times and only cabins and pop-up sites, then yesterday the premium sites came up. I have read that booking that far out they only release certain levels one at a time. Keep trying. we are in from Monday through Monday of Thanksgiving.

We checked in the day after Thanksgiving and we were able to swim in the afternoons. This year looks like it may be even warmer. Seems like every year is different. Keep trying to reserve, you will get a site. We booked ours for this year when we left last year and had no problems.

We did this same thing on one of our trips to the Fort. We left Louisiana the Tuesday after school on the week BEFORE Thanksgiving. Drove through the night and checked in on the Wed. Took the kids to the park while DH slept on Wed. Had Thurs and Fri with the parks all to ourselves. Started seeing an increase in attendance on Saturday - but not bad at all.

I always pull the kids out of school when we travel to Disney and I liked this time because they only had to miss the three days. I think we headed home on the Tuesday (two days before Thanksgiving).
