How busy in May?

We leave the 21st and were hoping that it would not be too busy. We went the 1st week of February and ran all the way to the front of the lines I know it will not be quite that way for May but one can always hope

We will be in the World 5/14-5/18. I have been looking at some extended forecasts for the Orlando area and although it's been 90-92 highs this week, by the time we get there, it's supposed to cool down a bit. Highs in the lower to mid 80s with lows in the lower 60s/upper 50s. We'll see!

My last May trip was in 2004 during the second week of the month. The weather was great... hot enough to enjoy the pool at the hotel in the afternoons, not so hot you'd drop at the theme parks. Lines were light to moderate, heavier on weekends than during the week. We went on Kali River Rapids 3 times in a row with little or no waiting. Same for Splash Mountain and Test Track. No need for Fast Passes.
For many years we went during the week of May leading up to Memorial Day weekend. This was also a great time to go, but it got crowded toward the end of the week as people took advantage of the long holiday weekend.

One of my co-workers sister is there now, and she said that it's been pretty crowded....looks like May before Memorial Day doesn't have lower crowd levels as it has in the past?

We will be there May 17 - 22nd. This will be my first trip in May. I have been during Thanksgiving and August of last year. The crowds are bound to be less than those times right? I know MGM will be crowded for Star Wars Weekends but what about the other parks, just as bad?
