Looks like I will be at the park for the dates above, how terribly crowded will it be?? I am really worried that it will be so crazy that we won't have any fun! This is my DD first trip and I want it to be fun. Thanks

I'm thinking that's a great time to go if you want to avoid crowds. It should be fairly quiet around there that time of year (quiet for Disneyland that is; of course there'll still be people around). I wouldn't expect you'd have to wait in line more than 5-10 mins for most if not all attractions. Many attractions may have no wait time and you'll be able to walk right on.

Keep in mind that the Haunted Mansion and Small World may be closed at that time of year to undo their holiday makeovers.

Overall, you should be able to get a lot done and ride to your hearts content. Or, you could just relax, stroll, and enjoy all the little Disney details and treats between rides since you won't have to fight the crowds.

Have a wonderful time!

trekkie, i am going there the same dates!! well, the 6th-11th with friends!! i hope its not crowded too since its my first time there....but to reply to the other post, i picked the dates cause small world and haunted mansion will still be up for xmas show till the 9th!! :earsboy:

Well...
It's usually one of the slowest weeks of the year.

Seems like you may as well throw all the old stats out the window this year though. October is usually very manageable as well, but folks are reporting really large crowds. Guess the 50th marketing is paying off.

I know our school district (in AZ) is taking the first week of Jan. off for Christmas break this year and I have heard that some CA schools are doing the same (can anyone confirm?)

I would just plan on larger than normal crowds, then if attendance turns out to be really light, it'll be a bonus!

Even with really crazy crowds (we've been there between Christmas and New Years several times) you can still accomplish a lot - just takes a bit more planning and you may have to try a bit harder to find the magic - but it's still there!

Hope you have a great trip!

Most districts I think stick to the normal 2 week, go back Jan 3rd kind of break, but I know one who does take the first week of Jan of as well, and has for some time.

yea i heard the same thing about the school being out, i hope its not too much o a factor, plus i fig who would go to disneyland the last day of vacationw hen u had 2 weeks off as it is lol well besides us crazy ppl :o)

I know Long Beach Unified schools will be out the first week of January (and it's a big district), so you might experience some crowds. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.....

Our schools are out the first week of January too.

Ohhh, shoot! I always forget about those California schools and their different vacation schedules.(sigh) I've done it before and I'll probably do it again.

:rolleyes1

lol o well everything is booked here so no changes....i dont think it will be that bad tho....
