how busy during labor day???

we will be checking in to all star movie on Aug. 29th and checking out sep. 9th. so we will be there through labor day weekend. How busy is that week up to labor day, that weekend and labor day itself??? Trying to figure out what days to be in what parks. Thanks for any info.

The week prior to is very slow. Last year they didn't even open the fast pass machines until Friday (and then only some of them). Labor Day weekend (Sat.-Mon) will be more crowded, but very managable if you plan right.

We will be there 8/25-8/30.

I've heard from other readers its not too bad at all. The schools down south have already started. I'm staying at the CBR we have two boys 4 and 6.

I'm trying to plan now as well. I heard not to do MK 1st because everything else might be a disappointment to the kids. I want to do AK the 1st Monday, but i heard its EMH in the am - so i'm deciding if i should still do it or hit MGM 1st day................

We have been 2 times over labor day weekend and the crowds were very low. Last year mid afternoon the wait times for the mountains were 30-40 minutes and that was it. FL got busy as always, but we hit everything in the morning and come back in the evening and lines are always less than 20 minutes. Often BTMR would say 20 and you would pretty much walk on. It was great!

We have been a couple of times during Labor Day!!! The crowds are NOT that bad. We use fast pass when we can. The weather is a little hot. We are talking better take the ponytail holders and some "water wax" because you will need it. But other than the heat it is a great time to go. We always do long weekends (LOVE WDW but can't stand to be away from home real long) (also we all get cranky after a couple of days in a hotel room) so it gives us an extra travel day. Make sure you get your ADRs and you will be set!!! We went in Dec for the Christmas Party and I really would have rather went in Sept. Don't get me wrong I LOVED the lights, BUT I HATED dragging what seemed like EVERY piece of clothing we had because of the temp change!!

At LABOR day you will be HOT. . . you WILL get wet (get your poncho) do NOT let the forecast fool you!!!
