How Busy are the QS in AK?

Trying to finalize my AK plans .... I'm trying to start with FOTLK, then Safari, and then continue heading in that direction, Kali, etc. I'm predicting we will try to have a QS @ Yak/Yeti or FlameTree ... How busy are these QS locations at lunch time? I know the best advice is to eat at "off times" but with our current plan I don't see how that is possible ... we will be in that area around 12/1230, and @ 11/1130 we will be not near any QS. I'd like to avoid walking back and forth as much as possible, but I also don't want to spend a lot of wasted time waiting for food ... I haven't done a QS @ AK ever. We always end up with a midday break TS, but now that the kids are a little older we are trying to change it up and maximize our park time a little more.

Looking for some honest, experienced opinions. Thanks! :-)

My advice for the QS at AK is go early, between 11:30-12:00 if you can

We try to eat lunch between 11:30 and 12:00. The seating area by Yak & Yeti QS can get pretty busy and make it hard to find a seat.

Don't forget about Harambe Market!

I like to sit by the Railroad tracks and watch the Wildlife Express pass.:)

The issue at AK isn't always waiting for the food to be ready, it's actually finding a place to sit and eat. This can especially be an issue at Flame Tree, but sometimes you can get lucky! If you're really worried about it, another less busy option tends to be Pizzafari--they serve the traditional WDW pizza. I highly recommend taking the risk with Flame tree though, it's one of the best QS I've ever had food from.

Harambe Market and Flame Tree are my favorites, try and eat before noon or after 2pm.
At Harambe Market even though it seems you can only order one or two main plates in each kiosk you can actually order any of the plates provided at the market in any of the kiosks, so don't make multiple lines, one for flatbread then another for sausage...they have the same food in all kiosks

Echoing others ... eat 11/11:30 or around 2 or so. Seating can be an issue otherwise.

We ate at Yak & Yeti QS on our last trip around 11:20. Plenty of seating options and short lines.
