How busy are the parks right now?

I also wanted to add that we only made it to RD once and never stayed for EMH and it still wasn't bad. If you know what you are doing, WDW even in July wasn't bad at all!

We leave Sunday so I am curious too. Weather seems to have changed since the last time I checked. Lots of thunderstorms in the forecast now.

The weather forecast is irritating, it keeps changing from 60% chain of rain to 0% to 30%. Weather.com and Weatherbug's forecast's are different... anyone watching that storm system by Puerto Rico?

We just returned. Sad to say that it was the most crowded I have ever seen WDW. Even TTA had a line and it didn't matter which park you visited on which day. They were all crowed all the time. This may mark our last trip to WDW in July!

Yeah, I just got back on Saturday from a week down there. DHS was significantly more crowded than I ever remember it being. At some points I saw 45-60 minute lines for Star Tours. The rest of the parks seemed like typical summer crowds. Same or more crowded than usual if anything, definitely not less crowded.

We were thinking about going last week but when I checked room availability and found there were NO rooms available at just about all the deluxe resorts I kinda figured it was going to be SUPER busy. We decided to go next week...you can go to Disney's site and check for available rooms and you'll find a pretty wide selection for next week.

We just got back and were there last week and I would say it was insanely busy but I have nothing to compare it to since it was our first real trip.

We got back on Friday and it was crazy busy the last two weeks. We found the evening magic hours to be very crowded and ended up leaving many shortly after they started. Even Epcot seemed packed and usually the crowds aren't too bad there. Go early--that's the only time to avoid the crowds. Easier said than done, especially when you're staying up late. Good luck!

We got back yesterday. I disagree that the crowds were all that bad. I used TGM/UG crowd calendars and the crowds were not a huge issue for us. Lower than expected. We saw the MSEP (amazing!) on Monday night and found a rope-side spot in Frontierland 30 minutes before it started.
The heat was an issue, though. Worse than I expected. Going to the parks early and taking long afternoon breaks was really the only way to survive.

We just got back yesterday. Epcot was a ghost town on Monday morning. HS was crazy busy every time we went. We went on 3 different days and the Toy Story Mania FP's were gone for the day by about 10:30 am.

We followed TGM color days. The greens were green and the yellows were definitely more crowded. Overall we stayed ahead of the crowd with our almost 3 year old DD. We got FP's each chance we could so at least 1 of us could go on the big rides. I missed Space Mountain this trip which bummed me out - on my last FP attempt it broke down and I had to leave to meet my family to catch our ride when it was time to leave.

The heat was the worst. We sweat through 2 sets of clothes a day. Going back to our room to take a nap every day is what saved us and made it such a fun trip. We were at BLT and had a washer/dryer thank goodness.

We have vowed never to go in the summer again. But all the people we were traveling with have kids in school and were not willing to take them out during the school year. Our DD still had a great time though.

Here right now as well. Crowds are large but probably typical for summer. Suggest getting to parks at or close to rope drop. Sunday morning at MK opening was walk on at mountains but crowds hit hard around noon. Standby was around an hour for rest of day. DHS has been busy all week. TSM FP's are gone by noon. Today the line to get a FP was ten minutes at one point and they were gone by 11. Standby for RRC and ToT ran about an hour. Star Tours varied throughout the week. Epcot has been busy also. Soarin FP's have been gone early afternoon and standby for MS and TT are about an hour. TT was closed this afternoon. Fast Passes are vital this time of year (and so is patience). Be prepared to wait online between FP's and deal with the scorching heat.

Arrived yesterday and didn't think it was as bad as we have been reading. It's been hotter at home than here (93 here yesterday) and lines last night at MK could be done in 20 mins or less. Fireworks werecrowded but worth it and late MSEP was empty.

Leaving today. The headliner ride lines are medium to normal , but everything else is very small. Expedition Everest was 5 minutes at one point a few days ago.
But, yes, beware the heat is horrible. You will be dripping within 5 minutes of leaving air condioning.

The heat comments are very encouraging. It's been 3 years since we have been in August. Our trip in the end of August should be very pleasant. Hopefully following the touringplans.com suggestions will save us some time. Anybody notice how the numbers and 'best parks' seem to change very often? Aug 24th is now a 7.

Especially after we made all of our ADR's which locked us into our park choices!

So it seems, based on the posts, that as August started, the crowds eased a bit. Anyone agree with this? How are the parks today?

We haven't done the water parks his time. Our friends that are down here plan on doing Typhoon Lagoon later in the week though, so I'll report back what they think.

BB was crowded yesterday, IMO. We spent most of the day there until about 5:30. Summit Plummet was 60 minutes all day and Crusher Gusher wasn't much better. Manageable but busy.

Epcot has been dead although TT and Soarin' always have lines from my experiences. MK on Sunday and Monday looked busy (doesn't it always!) but the attractions were again; manageable.

AK has been a zoo all week, IMO.

HS wasn't too bad yesterday but EMH evening brought everyone to Sunset and the entire back side of Sunset was hopping right up until closing. TSM was averaging about an hour right up until EMH started and quickley jumped to about 75 where I suspect it stayed until park closing (we didn't go back to see).

Hot but not bad for the first week of Aug. I have definately seen it worse.

Spent the morning and early afternoon at MK. Did all of Fantasyland by 10 (EMH morning) then hit Pirates, jungle Cruise, Splash, and BTM before 1130 ADR plus saw Arial in Adventureland. Heading to Epcot later c
