How big should a thread on DISboards be?

the admins of the board can decide how long a post can be, how large an attachment can be etc etc. That is totally up to them, and unless they post the size, there is no way of knowing. After a thread reaches a certain amount of replies they will also lock and and another will have to be started to continue it (see that on the resort boards a lot).

I don't know about the number of words that is allowed, but the limit is 250 pages and then the thread will be closed.
