How big of a draw is Skyliner?

It shouldn't be a draw other than as a means of transportation that is NOT A BUS! (This would be a smiley face if the emoticons were working.)

I think the Skyliner is a big enough draw to lure me from my fav moderate POR to CBR! It opens up so many dining options. A quick jump to Epcot World Showcase or all the dining at the Epcot resorts and along the Boardwalk. No long bus queues at park closing.

Several of you brought up a good point with regard to value vs. deluxe. We've stayed at every level on Disney property and never had a bad trip. Since we're coming from pretty far (Utah), we tend to stay at least a week and our main focus is the parks. (We do like resort vacations but we tend to do more cruises or Mexico for that type of vacation). We would be using the pool at least a day or two, but it will by no means be the focus of our trip. The kids like waterslides but will have fun in any body of water. So for us, transportation/convenience to the parks is a big issue, followed by comfort. We will be doing DDP, but we generally eat at the parks or other areas for more destination-type restaurants, versus eating at our resort.

Thanks to all who suggested Beach Club, I hadn't thought of that! I will add that to our list of options as well, that might give us the best of both worlds. If we do choose AoA, we would be doing the family suites. Right now my mom is leaning toward that option because my dad snores, and she'd like her own room so she can be well rested to hit the parks all day!

To us Disney Skyliner is MUCH more than just an alternate to a bus-it is like experiencing your first ATTRACTION of the day BEFORE even getting to the Park!!!!

Disney Skyliner and Rise of the Resistence are BLOCKBUSTERS!!

We REALLY liked the skyliner for transportation. Have you considered a split stay? Start out at AOA for a few nights, do HS and EP during those days. Then move to AKL for a few days and do AK and MK. The bus ride to AK from AKL is AWESOME!!!
