How big are the trundle beds at PORiverside? Are they twin size? We have 5 people in our party, 3 adults, 2 kids(11 & 14) and have always gotten 2 rooms at the value resorts. Just wondering if it would be cheaper to get one room at POR? I know you pay for an extra adult but do you also pay for the trundle bed? I also know there is only one bathroom. We are just not at the resorts that much plus the pool has a slide. Just was thinking.

Any feedback is a big help!!

We've stayed at POR twice, and we're going back again this next March. We love POR! However, this might be our last time there - at least staying in ONE ROOM. That is because the rooms with trundle beds are only for ages 9 and under. Our youngest is 8 now. The trundles are not the size of a twin if you ask me. I think they are smaller. I would say anyone who weighs 75 lbs or so and under will fit. (like a 3rd Grader and younger) I do not think the resort will assign a room with a trundle to 5 people unless the youngest child is 9 or younger. They have pictures on allearsnet.com of the resort and I am sure there is a picture of the trundle bed. Good luck. Compare the prices of two rooms at POR, one Family Suite at All Stars, and one standard room at the POLY. The rooms at the POLY have a daybed (the size of a real twin I would say) ... and it's a standard room/price. That should help you decide. We've done all of those. :-) Good and magical luck!

I like to describe it as the size of a crib mattress . My kids had fun sleeping on it. They were 6 and 7 at the time.

The comment on disney not a sign a room to a family of 5 unless one is under 9 is wrong. POR alligator byou is for family's of 5 no matter what age. The reason I know this is from reading the disboard and from disney. We are a family of 5 and my oldest is 11 and he is still sleeping in the trundle bed and has no problems. This resort disney has made for family's of 5 and who can or can't affford to always stay at the deluxe. I have heard from disboard and disney that many people even with teenagers use the trundle bed and have no problems. I'd actually call disney and ask to speak to someone regarding the trundle bed.

For about $30 extra a night you could stay in a Family Suite at All Star Music.
The Family Suite has a QUEEN size in the master bedroom area.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) in Sept. of 2006.

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Linda, I thought I had seen a diagram of the Family suite LR where a large chair had a pullout bed. In other words, there was the bed in the sofa and another one in a large chair. Am I wrong?

The sofa foldouts into a double bed. The chair and the ottoman foldouts to make twin beds.

POR will be much cheaper, but it is a small room with 5. We have kids 10,12,14. This year we will be trying the Family Suites. The price difference is significant. We are going during spring break. POR with AAA discount was about $975 while the Family Suites will be $1500 for us with a AAA discount. This is for 5 nights.

I am hoping we will like the family suites -- have heard good and bad about ASMU. We have been to POR 3 times and have always loved it.
