How best to use up a very old 2-day ticket>

Somehow I still have a 2-day ticket showing on my account, probably 15 years old at this point.

We are planning a fall '24 trip, and likely will all be getting 5-day tickets. Should I get everyone else 5-day tickets, get myself a 3-day ticket, and use that along with the existing 2-day ticket?
See any possible issues with this plan?

Have you checked that the ticket still has valid entitlements remaining? You can do that by trying to book theme park reservations with it. Occasionally a "ghost" ticket continues to show even though used up or expired.

Assuming it is still valid, I suppose you have a couple of options:

1) if it's a fully-unused ticket (original 2-day, not 2 days remaining out of 5 or 6 etc.) see about upgrading it to a 5-day. You may need to call to do this. It would have 2016 value towards an upgrade (probably ~$200+, depending on base or PH). Upgrade may not be possible if it's a partially used ticket with valid entitlements left in which case:

2) use it as-is and buy a 3-day ticket for the rest of your dates. Be aware you will need theme park reservations for the dates you enter on the 2-day ticket.

3) save it for a time that you will only need/want 2 days in the park. This would likely be the best "value" for it (a current 2-day ticket runs anywhere from ~$300 to $450 depending on dates and add-ons).

I thought park reservations were no longer required as of Jan 2024? Is there still a way to check that it's a valid pass?

Theme park reservations are not required for dated tickets. Park reservations are required for any ticket that doesn’t specify a date or period of days for the visit — such as annual passes, old no-expire tickets, comp passes, some convention tickets, etc.

You can try to make a theme park reservation with the old ticket. If it lets you do that, the ticket is good.
