How best to use points- split stay

OK..have 60 AK pts that were transferred in for 2014 UY. We have OKW contract with 40 pts left for 2014 UY and 125 that we could borrow from 2015 if needed)

planning for Christmas 2014. If we stay in a std view studio - we would use 50 pts (Sat Dec 20-Tue Dec 23) but don't have enough pts to stay 1 more night in same category room. If we did Savannah view it would take 66 pts for same 4 nights. (We don't own at AK- they were from a friend that owns AK)
Question is: can be "buy" 6 pts from Disney one-time to be able to stay in Savannah view?

We would move to OKW on 12/24 studio and use our pts from our OKW contract

Hope some my fellow DVC'ers know the right answer

I think you can only buy the one time UY points at the 7 month window. Would that AK reservation be available that time of the year at 7 months?

I consider different view and/or travel dates, I.e., weekdays only, to use those 60. You have way more flexibility with your OKW contract. That way, you can book both at the 11 month window.

It depends what room type you want at AKV.

If what you really want is Savannah view then why not book the first three nights at AKV using the AKV points, last two nights at OKW using those points. When the 7 month window opens up then you could use remaining AKV points and some OKW points to book 4th night in AKV (if still available)

If you want standard view at AKV then the same idea works, except you book 4 nights at AKV and one at OKW
