We are going to DL for the first time from March 26-March 30. I am expecting crowds, large crowds infact. I am hoping that we will manage because we have 5 days to see it all and we are staying at the GC. Am I in the right frame of mind? Are we talking park closing crowds? Would 5 days be long enough to manage the crowds? :confused3
Thanks! This board Rocks! :jumping1:

That weekend (Sat-Mon) will be the busiest of the year so far with the 50th birthday celebration and it being the first nice weather holiday for the locals.

The best plan is to get there early, use fast pass, try to do some rides during parades, don't expect to be able to breeze on to any rides and you should be ok. Your best days will probably be the 26th & 27th so plan on making those your fullest days.

I would have never thought SAT and SUN would be the best days. I would think Tues-Wed. Boy I am a novice! Do you think the parks would fill to capacity?
Thanks for your reply!

Sat and Sun will not be the best days, Tues, Wed will. However I think they aren't open as long, so thats probably why denyd said to go on the weekend. Sat is always the worse day of the week to go. I would not expect the parks to fill to capacity. And even if DL were to (though I doubt it) DCA would probably not. It will be crowded. Very crowded with long waits hot waits, but with 5 days you should have no problems seeing everything and getting you your favorites more than once.

Do NOT go on a Saturday!!!!! Simply don't do it. We went last Saturday and it was downright awful. The place was so crowded you couldn't move - anywhere. It was filthy because the clientele on weekends isn't the greatest. The poor CM's couldn't even keep up picking up garbage because there were bodies all over the place.

Unfortunately, it was our very first taste of DL and we were terribly disappointed. Thankfully, we gave it another shot on Monday and found it to be a whole different park.

Never on a Saturday again for me.
