We were planning a early June trip but are having scheduling problems. We talked about late June but we are used to going in Dec so I think the crowds and heat will really be too much for us. SO we decided to go ahead and go in Dec again. I looked for flights today and can't find a decent price. All the good priced flights are booked. I am so disappointed. The next time that would work best would be Spring Break in March. How would the crowds be??? Any advice appreciated!

i went in March last year and it was so crowded because of spring break. it could have also been it was around Easter. but it was still pretty bad.

We have gone the past two spring breaks and it really isnt all that bad if you plan accordingly.

We had always gone in late August. March 04 was our first expierence with the big crowds. It took some adjusting but once we knew what we wanted to do and stuck to it, it worked out great. This year we went back. Each day at EMH at MK. We were there each time. We rode so many rides before the real crowds got there then left to go to another park or take a nap. On the day we left, Easter Sunday, we rode 18 rides before noon. And we are talking all three mountains, Buzz, Indy Speedway.

I think the longest we waited in line was like 15 mins.

It can be done right. I would have no problems going back next year.

We were there this past March, the week before Easter. It was awful. The lines were crazy. We even had to wait in long lines to use the restroom. We will never again go during this time of year. It just really spoiled the week because everywhere we went it was crazy and super crowded. Lines were 60-90 minutes on most rides. And fast pass will only get you so far. It just was not worth it, it really drained us and after a couple of days we just didn't want to be bothered anymore. You can only stand in long lines so many times. It really took a lot of the fun out of it for us.

The 2nd half of March this last year was probably very crowded due to Easter being early on March 27. We were there March 3-13, 2005, and crowds were quite low during this time. With Easter in April next year, I think early to mid March will probably be OK as far as crowds go. Remember, Spring breaks are scattered through March & April, with a large concentration the week before & after Easter.

We went last march break and didn't find it bad at all. I also agreee that April will be busier with easter in April this year.

Our first trip was in March 2000.. we went over spring break in Mid March and yes there were alot of people but it wasnt too bad.. I dont believe we waited more than 15 minutes in line for any ride except Test Track... We used Fast Passes as much as possible.. we even used fp for TT but had to wait around an hour to ride.. I would definitely go in March again if that was an option for me..

I was reading the UG and looking at March and April. Early March does not look bad. However, March 19-April 1 are rated 10 out of 10 for crowds. Of course, this is their educated guess and not set in stone.

UPDATE-I JUST LOOKED AT THEIR ONLINE CROWD LEVEL RATINGS AND IT IS MOSTLY 7'S FOR MARCH 19-APRIL 1 WITH A COUPLE OF 8'S.

We went in March 2004 and it wasn't that bad. There was one day at MK that was really crowded, but that was it. We had to deal with the cheerleaders too. But we are going again this March. We've decided that March spring break is best for us as long as Easter is NOT that week.

We took a trip in March a few years ago and never again. Granted it was over spring break. But it was very crowded. But having said that if I had to choose between March or July/August I would probably pick March.

I guess you should never say never :rotfl:

What ever you decide have fun :Pinkbounc

i went in March a few years back. it wasn't bad at all. the heat was in the 70's and the crowds weren't bad at all. i'm from Upstate NY and our Spring breaks are different from the FL ones, and that's when i went. it wasn't busy at all.
