How bad will it be? Buying SOG tickets on day of arrival, no FP ahead of time.

Yes, it is the same drill. At least you already have the magic bands. I am also wondering how Fastpass+ will play out for those of us purchasing last minute tickets, especially after reading so many reports about long lines at attractions that are not so popular. I have visions of spending our MK day on the People Mover, and climbing the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.:lmao:

LOL! Sounds like a Disney version of Groundhog Day! HAHA!:rotfl:

Dont' forget that you can go to Leisure and Travel Services at your post and get the tickets as well - you dont' have to wait until you get to SOG to get your tickets - they CAN be linked to MDP - you just have to go to the bottom, and link it by typing it in - we did that ourselves -

My husband works at a base that the Navy left, so it's just the Air National Guard there. The closest base with a LTS is Maguire in NJ. They only had the tickets with hoppers (my husband checked) and not just the 9 day with the Fun & More. We did think about that.

as for tickets - We went for the 4 days before Memorial Weekend, so it was busy. Booked trip 3 days ahead, and was able to get nearly everything. ToyStory was open on a 2nd day to Studios - it was almost booked out on our first day arrival. Of course in the MK, Anna/Elsa and 7 Dwarfs will be out. Try the day of to see if anything opens up for those.

Luckily my kids are 22 & 16, so we don't need to see Anna/Elsa -whew! And we can always do 7 Dwarfs at rope drop.....although my ideal would be FP to 7 Dwarfs, Splash Mtn and Big Thunder and then be able to do Space at Rope drop. That would be the ideal for us. Plus we are there for over 2 weeks......so I'm sure it will all work out fine, but it was just the most perfect system before I hate that they changed it. We really were good at maximizing FP's on the old system. I mean what does this do for Peter Pan- yikes! Maybe we will have to wait and ride that very late at night. Luckily we have 3 days at MK.

I don't like this new FP system either...it takes away all the spontaneity!:sad2:

I could not agree more. FP+ takes vacation planning to a new level......but for the love of Disney we will march on and have a good time anyway. I suppose Disney has given us something to talk about.:rotfl:
