How bad weather & crowd wise in August?

We're thinking of doing a 5 day Disney trip in August (8-13), but how awful will the weather be? We live in New Jersey, so we do know all about oppressive heat, but how bad will the heat and humidity be in Florida in August? Also, how are the crowds this time of year? I'm assuming they aren't too bad since room rates are in the "value" season. Our last two trips have been over Christmas and Easter, the two most crowded times. So, we are pretty accustomed to Disney crowds. How does August compare with those times? Since a Disney trip is always expensive, we just want to make sure we have a great time for our money. Any tips or strategies for August are greatly appreciated!

Be careful Value season doesn't start til Aug 27 for the Value and Moderate resorts. We book Aug 28-Sept 4 ---Labor Day weekend and was told that this is a nice time to go crowd-wise. I went in Aug 2 years ago pregnant and it was hot. I figured if I did it pregnant I can do it not pregnant! Just drink alot of water and take your time.

Value season starts in late august, trust me there are lots of people who take advantage of that :yay: .August is also smack dab in the middle of hurricane season, just go back the last two years and see what we had to deal with.Disney was pretty much spared the wrath of most of them, also the humidity is pretty bad even for those of us that are used to it.The thunderstorms that move through tend to be a litle more intense, though dont expect it to last all day.
Even though this sounds like all gloom and doom it wont seem like it if your at Disney :wizard: , they have tons of stuff to do in the Air Conditioning
