Hi,

Because of the good BRP rates I'm thinking of changing from Presidents week to MLK birthday week, but since I have never stayed during the week of MLK birthday I was wondering which one is less crowded.

I can't speak for President's Day, but MLK is pretty crowded - the weekend of it, anyway. My birthday is the day after (actually the day of the holiday this year!) and we went one year for that reason. I remember that it was pretty chilly and rainy (although that is extremely variable from year to year) and the crowds were unbelievable. The week leading into the holiday, the crowds were fine.

i don't know about MLK day but Presidents Day 2004 was the busiest I have ever seen the parks except for New Years Eve.

I agree. I was there for the week of Presidents day 2004 and was amazed by the crowds. Sad thing is, when I booked the trip I didn't realize it that it fell on Presidents day. Usually I'm pretty good at checking things out but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Boy,was I wrong. I didn't understand why it was that crowded in the first place. I never thought of Presidents day as a major holiday or a holiday at all for that matter.

No comparison....MLK weekend itself is busy, but the crowds for President's Day week stay past the weekend and through much of the week.

Bob

Thanks. It looks like MLK week would be the best out of the two.
