How bad is Mama Melrose?

Very good italian food. Our entire party liked their meals and we would definetly eat there again!:)

I have not eaten here in quite a while and the last time it was just OK. DHS is not one of my favorite places to eat. I find most of the CS gross and the TS fair but expensive for what you get.

I've done them all a few times, when you plan on being in the park for the day you need a break especially when the weathers hot.

We are returning to MM for lunch in May. I find the lunches to be a little better then the dinner offerings.

I've never left this park and said I can't wait to return to that restaurant. It's always a difficult choice on where to eat, especially knowing how much you dislike this parks restaurants.

We also have not eaten there for a few years but last time we did like it. We have an ADR this Thursday so I hope we still are happy!!

We ate there 2 weeks ago for lunch. It was our second visit the restaurant and we really enjoyed it. I shared my meal with our 4 year old and still had left overs.

We did not like it, but we only went one time. We have not wanted to return so far. The food was below average when we went, and service was pretty bad. But, if I were you, I would give it a try and judge for yourself. You may end up having a nice time.

We had the F! package there last May and I really enjoyed it. We both had the pipette pasta (DH's with shrimp & mine with chicken) and it was absolutely delicious.

Another huge bonus for us was that they let us bring our stroller to our table since our 2 year was out cold at that point. He woke up right at dessert time and the staff was very attentive and offered multiple times to get him something to eat.

While I wouldn't mark this restaurant on my "can't miss" list, I would definitely go back, especially for the F! package.

We actually like MM, I was a little nervous about going the first time due to all of the negative reviews too, but after we ate there we knew we would be coming back. Sure it is not true authentic Italian food, but we really liked it. I had the 5 cheese flat bread that I liked, that was until I took a bite of my DH's chicken parm, which I have decided I will be getting when we go there in May :goodvibes. I say be your own critic and try it, the worst thing that could happen is that you won't go back.

We did the Fantasmic package in 2009 and 2010 and had a great meal both times.

In 2011, we are not going to Fantasmic but will still go to Mama Melroses for dinner as it is one of the restaurants that we enjoy that has half-way reasonable prices and food that we enjoy.

While I'm not Italian, I'm originally from NY, and I grew up with wonderful, real Italian food readily available. MM is not like that, but it is not bad. As others have said, it is much like Olive Garden, i.e. American Italian food.

We've eaten there many times and have an ADR for our next trip too.

It may not be the highlight of your trip, but I don't think it will be the lowpoint either. ;)

I also equate it to Olive Garden. We skip MM, but that's because we can get better Italian at home. MM isn't bad, it just isn't our cup of tea.

Ack, not a big fan of Olive Garden! There's a MADTV Olive Garden commercial spoof that says it better than I can.

Not disgusting, just average Italian-American fare, like everyone else says, about on par with an Olive Garden. But it doesn't pretend to be an authentic place either, it is themed to be and delivers a typical Italian-American place. I generally avoid it because if I'm eating Italian at Disney it just reminds me that Alfredo's closed.:sad1:

We were there in July and I actually liked it. It was much better than Tony's Town Square and Tutto Italia.

We did the Fantasmic package on our last trip and both really enjoyed our meal
The setting and theme is really good as well
Having ate at Sci-Fi and 50s on previous trips we both felt that MM was better.

We have always enjoyed our meals there and we have eaten there several times.
