How bad is Jersey week?

Sorry, late to this thread!! We are thinking of going Nov 7-15th this year. I know the weekend of 7-9th will be busy, last weekend of F&W festival, I believe it will be the NJ convention thing too (not sure that it has been officially announced yet). My question is, will it be busier the week before or the week after? When exactly is Jersey Week? I am hoping the week before so we miss it!! We have never been to F&W before and are trying to hit the last weekend of it as well as be there for the Xmas decos being put up and to hit a MVMCP. Thanks for any input.

I have been there a few times during Jersey week. This year we were there nov 9-16 which I believe was the tail end of it. One year we went and jersey week, Veterans Day and end of food and wine all overlapped and we found it quite busy on the weekend but other than it was fine. I would go again then anytime but 2 of our kids are in college and can't go that week anymore!
