Last March, driving between Sarasota (where we visit family) and Orlando was terrrrrrible bc of the I-4 construction (and probably general spring break crowds, but in 15 years of doing that trip, I have never seen it like last March).
I am heading down this December the week after Christmas, and we are thinking of doing a day trip to Disney on the 29th - something we have done before this same week. I'm concerned that no matter what time we travel (we would normally get up at like 4:30 AM and head on up to avoid traffic and to arrive early, and then drive home around 9 PM when traffic has again settled for the night) the I-4 mess will make it impossible. Any thoughts or recent experiences? Will they suspend work that week? Will it even matter?
Thanks
