How bad is airline travel on New Years Day?

We have a direct flight leaving early out of LAX. How crowded is LAX that day early in the morning?

1) From REAL experience and several trips, I love to fly on holidays.
. . . New Years Day
. . . Christmas Day
. . . Thanksgiving Day
2) Most people are already at their destination.
3) The crowds are so small and everyone is friendly.
4) Even TSA !!!
