You might have to wait a little while, but they really try to keep those boats coming. Lots of times, as soon as one pulls away from the docks, you can see the next boat pulling in.
Last week the longest we had to wait for a boat at park closing time was about 20 minutes. It really wasn't that bad. As susanci said, while one boat was loading you could see the next one out a little way waiting to pull in.
They also use the big boats to take you. We waited about 20 minutes and were at the back of a pretty long line. We all go on the one boat and still had a place to sit all together!
We just got back on Monday and we left as the fireworks were starting and we got right on a boat and headed back to the campground. Just as we were pulling away from the dock the mad rush of people set in for the marina. We were glad we headed back when we did.
The longest wait we had was after fireworks probably 20-30 min. I would either leave a bit early (you can see the fireworks from the dock) or hand around on Main St for a little bit and take a later boat.
Not sure if you have been before or not. We have been to FW many times and on our last trip we discovered that the boat and bus are the only 2 ways back to FW from MK. We had always taken the monorail to the TTC and caught a bus from there - NOT NOW - TTC doesn't have the resort busses any longer. I never gave thought that that would change, therefore I did not do my homework before we left and we learned the hard way. Btw, we found the busses to be faster then the boats.
