How bad are crowds President's Week?

This is inspired by the "When is your Spring Break?" thread. We are going for "spring break" this year. From reading the Spring Break thread, I'm less worried about the crowds than I was, since all the spring breaks seem to be spread over March and April. I am taking my nephew, who lives near Atlanta, and his spring break is April 3-7th, so we are going April 2nd through 7th.

Also, I called MS yesterday to change some Advanced Dining arrangements, and NOTHING was booked up. I took that as a good sign (but I guess it COULD mean people just weren't planning ahead!). When I would ask for 12:30, she would say, I have 12:30, 12:35, 12:40, 12:45, etc.

BUT in 2007 we are going President's Week, Feb 17th to 24th. Do ALL schools get that week off, or is it more a southern or regional thing? Just starting to prepare for next year's trip.

Thanks!

The northeast tends to have that week off for winter break. I've gone that time of year for the last 3yrs (and again in 2 wks!) and I didn't think it was horrible. We just went early and park hopped when it got too busy. MK and Ak seemed to be the busiest.

I went President's weekend 2 years ago and although it WAS crowded, it was NOWHERE near as crowded as it is during the summer months!!! Just go with an open mind, and expect crowds. But it will definitely be doable!!!

we go around this time every year. we have never encountered LARGE crowds but go with an open mind...use fastpass when possible.

we have noticed that each year around this time seems to get busier. i think it has become the new "winter break" for us in the north.
