How are you doing on Ebay?

Nope, don't remember those commercials or seeing that in movies.
Of course you dont. Your sig says you are 30, those things were shown before you were born. And that's the problem, you have entire generations of people who have no idea what bedbugs are. "Good night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite."

We were just at the movie theatre today and someone mentioned bed bugs coming from the chairs! Check your seats.

Bedbugs make Niketown scratch shopping day

NEW YORK, - New York's spreading bedbugs have struck another high-profile Manhattan store, Niketown, Nike announced Saturday.

Nike's flagship store on East 57th Street was forced to close Saturday, the New York Daily News reported.

"Our primary concern is the well-being of our consumers and sales associates," Nike's statement said. "We are taking all proper steps to eradicate the problem and we expect the store to reopen shortly."

The five-story Niketown, with big-name endorsers like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Derek Jeter, sells wares ranging from expensive footwear to headbands to T-shirts.

Before hitting Niketown New York, the insects are known to have bitten into the Empire State Building, the Hollister store in SoHo, the Brooklyn district attorney's office, a Times Square movie theater and the Time Warner Center.

A study by the pest control company Terminix found New York had the nation's worst bedbug infestation.

You can read about it in more detail on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions forum. Basically it's a lot of people with nothing better to worry about going hysterical over bugs that have been around for millenia, dissappeared for 50 years or so and are now making a comeback. They travel well so now these people are avoiding hotels, libraries, basically any place they can make contact either directly or indirectly with other humans :rotfl2:

I'm just wondering why you are fueling people's hysteria?

I think the whole bed bug scare and resultant search for them at Disney resorts goes hand and hand with other behaviors exhibited by some DISers. I think that they are so afraid of what they really can't control, they try to control what they feel they can. Checking for bed bugs on the mattress, Lysoling the heck out of the room, removing the comforter with rubber gloves, labeling their children, older boys not allowed in the men's bathroom, using Purel after every ride ...

I think that you have lost more customers to the requirement to use PayPal then "bed bugs"

As someone who has spent well over 100 nights in a hotel this year "much ado about nothing"

I'm just wondering why you are fueling people's hysteria?

Call it a public service. Some people don't feel right (you illustrated examples later in your post) unless their world is collapsing around them. I'm helping them by justifying their paranoia :thumbsup2
