How are the rooms in Bldg 2 at HoJo's?

I had a $59 ressie in Bldg 1 but decided that we needed a microwave. They said that all that they had that could accomodate this request was to move me to Bldg 2. Isn't this kind of far away from the Castaway Cove pool and closer to the freeway? (On our last stay, we were in Bldg 1 (on the ground floor) but facing the Castaway Cove pool but close to the smokers entrance and we could still hear the traffic somewhat.)
The gal that helped me said that it was quieter but now I am worried. I am also hoping that the upgraded bedding has made its way to Bldg 2....any chance of that?

Please reassure me that I am not going to regret switching rooms/buildings!!!

Bldg 2 is our favorite. We have stayed there and in the pavillion rooms. Yes, it's away from Castaway Cove, but all of the times we have stayed there we have had quiet rooms. I have never stayed in building 1 because I have heard it can be noisy. It's my understanding that some of the rooms in building 2 have been upgraded. I would just put that in as a request, along with a request for a quiet room.

I actually really, really like the NQQ2/Deluxe Pool View Rooms! They're my favorite rooms on property! :]

Bldg 2 is our second fave, our faves are the Pavilion rooms! To answer your questions yes, you are farther from the play area but closer to the pool, maybe closer to the freeway but I've only had a problem with noise once and that time we were way in the back corner, every other time it's been great.

So, do all of the rooms in Bldg 2 have the upgraded mattress and pillows? If not, I might be just as happy in Bldg 1 with the $59 rate. My real dilemma is that my hubby was recently laid off so we are trying to do this trip on a uber-budget! I just can't decide if the extra $10 is worth it - esp. if it is just because I get a microwave.
Thanks to the Ent. rate (and you) or we wouldn't be vacationing at all. We already had the DL AP's so that is not an expense...and this time we are driving from Utah instead of flying...aaaargh!

You are so nice! We loved doing the videos [my personal favorite is the Ghost Blunders one ], and I'm glad that people are finding them to be helpful as well! :]

I'm so glad that the ET Rate is helping you and your family spend some out-of-town/Disney time together, and I'm really glad that we're able to be your homebase!

We're still working on getting the mattresses in Building 2 upgraded, but we can definitely note a request on your reservation, and of course, our Front Desk Staff always does their best to try to accommodate! I know trying to pick which room you want is a tough decision; hopefully the videos and the Boards and everyone's personal reviews help!

We just stayed at the HOJO for the first time & we stayed in building 2 with a NQQ2/Deluxe Pool View Room. We had no problem at all. We personally liked having the microwave because we brought a lot of food with us. And another night we were there we ordered pizza so we were glad to be able to re-heat leftovers.

Also, when I made the reservation I asked about the noise because it's been mentioned here. I was assured it was one of the quietest rooms available. We had no problems with noise at all. We also had a ground level room which probably helped because it's below the big walls around the parking area. AND, I loved the ground level room with my 2 year old. It was nice to be able to let her step outside into the seriously mini patio & not worry about her falling. For a paranoid mom, that was GREAT!

As for bedding, I can't help you since it was our first stay there. We were not uncomfortable.

I can't say from experience but I would think the rooms by the Castaway Cove would be loud? I know we were out there late as were many other people.

We stayed in the premium view rooms last week and really loved it, was a bit worried I would be downgrading too much on the nqq2 rooms. But now I am so excited
We are staying 10/6-10/10 and attending the Trick or treat party on the 8th
Still havnt come up with costumes yet LOL

We have stayed once at HOJO in Building 2 and will be returning for our second stay in October again in Building 2. We are excited about the upgrades since the last time we were there. A Microwave will be very handy! We loved the pool view and we had no HWY noise. Our 5 year old is excited about Cast Away Cove!

We check in for 4 nights into 2 of the NQQ2 rooms next week. We can't wait! Love the videos! They have really made the whole family excited...except we can't get the tune from the beginning out of our heads. everytime you turn around in our house someone is singing it! LOL

Another vote for bldg 2! We stayed there in April, ground floor facing the pool. No noise at all. Really nice, too bad we only stayed one night! lol And I loved how quick the walk was over to the park. Much much nicer than the hike from the Anabella! lol

We'll be there from the 18th-28th......attending the trick or treat party on the 21st. You won't be disappointed with the rooms in bldg. 2. It is the bldg. of choice for a lot of people and it is so nice to be in a room overlooking the pool.....quiet, with a very nice view. I'm sure you will love it. Have a wonderful trip!
