We are planning a trip 4/22-4/30. Currently have reservations at Pop Century. It is our first time a a value resort. We usually go Moderate.

Which resorts get the most grad night traffic, and how rowdy is it? :earseek:

I have nver been to WDW during times when they have Grad Nights, but have read information about them on the Theme Parks Board. It is my understanding that Grad Nights mainly affect the theme parks, not the resort areas. The kids that attend are from local schools, and the generally come in for the evening to enjoy the parks. I would imagine that the resorts won't be affected.

Last year(and I am doing it again this year, same time april 22-30th), I too stood at Pop, and I also wandered around some other resorts, and I didnt notice anything extra about gradnight, only thing I noticed was they closed MK early on the weekends.
:badpc:

I attended Grad night in 1997 and we just drove up and back for the night so we didn't stay at a hotel - my school was in Fort Lauderdale, about 2 1/2 hours away. Not sure if other schools do that.

Absolutely correct. When I graduated high school, I was in charge of coordinating our Grad Night trip as a member of student council and as far as I can remember, all seniors from participating schools were bussed in, stayed the night in the park (so they don't go to the resorts) and leave when Grad night is over. The only downside for other park visitors is MK closes early, but that's it.

YEAH!!!! Thanks for the replies.

I read on another forum, that someone's stay at All-Stars was loud due to Grad night, so I thought it was worth asking.

A lot of the teenagers that I work with are going this year (some went last year as well) and they do spend the night, but not on site. Anyone know when they are this year?

Don't know

I did grad nite 1988
my sis - 1979
my brother 1982

not to mention my nephew in 2000 or 2001

same transportation - we had chartered buses. Arrived around 7/8 and left at 5:30 in the morning. I'll never forget riding Space Mountain at 5:00 in the morning!!! WOW!!!!

we were there last year for grad night on property through 2 weekends of it and it NEVER affected our vacation...it was funny to sit up in Ca grill and watch all the buses coming in late at night, the parks were NOT more crowded at all
