How are the crowds/weather early May?

Thinking of planning a trip for my birthday May 6th. I've checked flights and can get a great deal May 3-6 but I've never been to WDW that time of year and wonder about the crowds and weather. Are the weekends real busy that time of year? I was thinking mid-week would be less crowded.

You have missed the Easter crowds for this date.I went in May for first time when I closed on my villa.It was the best weather as it was just right - not too hot,not too humid.perfect!!!!
Weekends are always busier than weekdays.But in my experience May is a great time to avoid too much queueing.

The first of May is a gr8 time to visit The International Flower and Garden Festival is going on at EPCOT. Be sure to see the Flower Power concert. Paul Revere and the Raiders are playing during your stay.

I will be there again this May, from the 4-9 for my annual girls only trip. I love this time of year. The crowds are relativly low and the Flower festival is just beautiful. ou will have a great time!

May is the best time to go. Crowds aren't too bad and the weather is great!

I think this week will be pretty good for weather and crowds shouldn't be too bad hopefully although please be aware that there are Grad Nights taking place at the MK on the Friday and Saturday nights which means it will close to regular guests at 7pm.

Im going on the 6th as well, and from what I understand it is a great time to go, low crowds, and mild weather, hope your vaca is great!

We went in May in 04 and loved it! I was hoping to go back this May 06 but DH is beggin for a relaxing Caribbean vacation so looks like WDW will have to wait til the following May! Less crowds, great hours and great weather!!!!

Mine is May 3 and we'll be in the World from May 5 - 15! We usually go in
March -- so glad to hear the good reports about May trips.
