How are the crowds this week (April 23 - 30)?

I'm curious how the crowds are this week. We're heading there next week, and I'm guessing they'll be similar (post spring break but pre Memorial Day.) I'm hoping we'll hit relatively light crowds ('light' current Disney standards.) Thanks!

Crowds should be manageable. You will be there during a big cheer competition as well as end of the year/senior school trips. Avoid Epcot like the plague on Fridays as it is often middle school field trips this time of year. Rope drop is still your best friend.

Thanks for the tips! We're early risers, so we'll definitely be hitting rope drop and morning EMH. That's good to know about the cheer competitions and school trips. We're going with our 3 year old, so hopefully we'll be focusing on some different attractions than those groups. ;-)

Also temps are about to jump into the high 90s and depending on if this dry air continues it might be desert hot all next week so everyone is going to be moving around a lot slower so it'll start to shift where crowds waiting in lines are and the ability to get an indoor seat to eat at.

It's going to be a good week for resort breaks if this weather holds up. If it doesn't hold up, it's a wake up call to locals to get out before it's miserable humid when it dips back to near 80.

We were there from 19 to 24 and found crowds very light really. We got same day FP for every tier 1 ride (for 2) even FEA.
They had to be lower than any predictor put out.

I've gotten FEA on very crowded days.. I've also seen FEA say 2 hours and be a 10 minute standby line... they are really keeping popular rides high on the wait time lately.

Looked at TP historical crowd level for those days, and it was higher than what we should have in November. If that's true, we should have no problem getting 4th+ FP, too, especially since it's just the 2 of us. Yay! I realize on guarantees, but it's just encouraging to read other people's good experiences.

We've been here since Sunday and it hasn't been bad at all! We've been on one bus that was really crunched in but we've also been on busses that had less than 10 other people on board. Wait times for attractions have been really good too! We are expecting it to be HOT the next few days so I think the pools might filling up.

We arrived Saturday and MK was pretty busy. Sunday was busy too. I think touring plans said it was an 8 which is busier than we normally see this week. We come this week every year and honestly, have been seeing it get more and more crowded. Monday we were at Epcot and it was crowded in the afternoon but pretty typical. Tuesday was AK and it seemed typical not insane but also not too light. Wed was AK for the animal trek and then MK and MK was lighter which was nice. I would say it was heavier than the past two years at this week but do-able with the right early morning plans!

Funny different people's perspectives. I have family there now. Feels crowded to them, and yes, they are WDW veterans (AP holders).
