How are the buffets at Disneyland right now?

First I suppose I should ask if any of the restaurants ARE doing buffets at the moment. I'm assuming they are since I've been seeing reservations for character meals etc.

Are the restaurants taking any special precautions? Is the food being served the same way? Are they spacing out tables, or limiting the number of people at the buffet, or is it all the same as it was pre-covid?

I'm hoping to get reservations for Goofy's kitchen, and I've been waiting since 2019 to get to Minnie's at Plaza Inn. Might try Storytellers, too! I think I've heard that characters do not come to the table.

Thanks!

I visited Goofy’s Kitchen in Sept before characters came back. Other than no characters, it was the same as before. Buffet. Serve yourself. Tables seemed spaced same as before. I believe they replaced the carpet, but otherwise the same!

Also remember there are no covid restrictions besides wearing masks indoors. Just pointing it out in case anyone wonders why tables are close together, buffets open again/serve yourself, or crowded areas.

The only main thing is no touching characters for photos, similar to in park/distance pictures.

I'm glad things are slowly getting back to normal! (For those worried about crowds, no one is forcing you to go.)

Plaza Inn character breakfast:
- Pastries, cereals, drinks and syrup were serve yourself
- Hot foods were served by a CM to you in the buffet line
