How are people getting Tamiflu?

I read that prescriptiosn are up, but how are people getting these prescriptions. Are people just buddy-buddy with their doctors and having them write prescriptions? Or are they faking symptoms? I can't imagine going into the doctor without the flu and walking out with a prescription for Tamiflu.

I wonder if Tamiflu has an expiration date.

I have heard people say their drs are giving it to them. I wondered about the exp. date too.

Roche has ceased distribution currently and will not make any further shipments until closer to the flu season - which is mid November, early December so I've heard ...

Yes people are buying.
I have heard that people are getting it due to chronic conditions & have it on hand because they cannot get a flu shot (cannot have vaccine due to egg allergies I think).

I am also sure a small population is abusing gathering Tamiflu due to fear.

The Tamiflu needs to be taken within the first 48hrs or something like that.

Doctors are advising it is NOT the cure all. It will react differently with each person - what works for one may not work for the other.
