We're planning our days for the end of Sept/early Oct. We've never been to HS before and are thinking about adding it in but just for a couple of hours to check it out. The plan would be to hit HS around 2:30 and just do Toy Story ,Star Tours, Great Movie, Studio Backlot, and Voyage as a show. We would of course have our 3 fp+ bookings for Toy Story, Star Tours and Great Movie Ride.
We'd leave then go to Epcot for our adr(which is now at 6:15), and dessert party(and we know Epcot is going to be a zoo because of F&W). This day is not recommended because of EMH and we would not be utilizing that. We're going to be arriving into Orlando too late the night before to start off a holiday with a rope drop.
I realize that it will be crowded at HS but what I am wondering is how long are the FP+ lines if we have advance ressies. 3 out of 5 of the things we want to do would be with FP's so if those lines are manageable its worth doing, but if not we'll likely pass on HS altogether ?
Experiences ?

Yes, the FP wait is very minimal.

What you might want to consider is scheduleing your Toy Story FP first, then once you get inside or as soon as you are done, go in and edit the times of your remaining FP+.

What I mean is, shoot for something like this:
Toy Story 2pm - 3 pm
Great Movie Ride 3pm - 4pm
Star Tours - 4pm - 5pm

If you arrive at 2:30 head straight to Toy Story, knock it out, then go do Great Movie Ride. After you enter Great Movie Ride (hopefully like 3:10ish) check the wait time for Star Tours...if it is a small standby wait, edit the choice to Voyage of the Little Mermaid. If the standby for Star Tours is over say 20 minutes, edit the time from 4pm - 5pm to as early as possible. Say 3:30-4:30 so that once you get done on Great Movie Ride you can knock out Star Tours.

Thanks

What I had been planning using Touring Plans would go something like this
We'd Arrive around 2:30 pm(maybe 2 if you think we need more time) . We'll likely get up and if the weather is good spend an hour or so after brunch at the pools at the Dolphin where we'll be . The times I mention below are those given to me by TP. BTW its just dh and I in our 50's and 60's respectively. We don't wish to do anything commando style preferring a more leisurely pace.

TSSM-2pm-3pm (2:37pm)
Studio Backlot (2:57pm)
Star Tours- 3pm-4pm(3:37pm)
Great Movie Ride-4pm-5pm(4:00pm)
Voyage 4:45 pm show if we have enough time

Walk or boat to Epcot

Dinner Via Napoli 6:20pm(originally had 7 pm but was told in a previous post we weren't giving ourselves enough time during F&W crowds on a Sat)
Dessert Party 8:45 pm

Would this work...or how would you tweak it ?

Thanks so much for your input
