I know that the summer can be extremely hot and crowded. From everything I've read, crowds are worst from about 10-11 am to 4-6 pm. It sounds like the parks are less crowded, prettier, and a little cooler in the evenings.
This sounds perfect for us. We're definitely night owls, and are planning a trip for mid to late June (ideally the first week that the parks are open until 10:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm).
The crowd calendars all predict that this is definitely "Busy" season, with wait times of up to 60-90 minutes for headliner attractions during the middle of the day. If the crowds really do start to thin out a little after 4:00ish, is it really a significant amount? Are they half as crowded as they were during the day, or only three quarters as crowded? If the wait for an attraction is 60-90 minutes during the day, is it still 45 minutes at night, or only 15 minutes? I'm sure it varies a lot, but if anyone has any general ideas or personal experiences, I'd love to hear them!
