How are December fast passes going?

Your FP window opened up a day early because you have 2 trips scheduled within 60 days of each other.

Your November trip window ‘rolled’ to your December window and opened your December FP booking a day early at 7:00a ET.

Well, that’s good to know for my other/next 3 trips that are also within 60 days of each other. This is my first year with an AP so I’ve never had trips to DW back-to-back like this before.

That is what I was thinking too! I was wondering if the extended park hours were helping or if they increased their number of FP+s. Whatever it is, it definitely looks promising.

Are there any statistics on whether the majority of the Christmas crowds are locals/off site versus on site? Just wondering if that affects the availability of fast passes too? There seems to be plenty of resort availability this week versus early/mid December (free dining. )

We booked fastpasses on Sunday morning, we arrive Dec 21st but our first day in a park is the 23rd since we have party-only tickets for the 22nd. Got every single fast pass we wanted! We started with our AK day (day 5) since FOP is so hard to get, managed to get one in the morning! Then we started and worked our way backwards. Was able to get 7DMT easily since we are doing MK on Day 9. The app was so much easier to use than the computer.

No. The FP system is completely different from the ADR system.

Disney doesn’t always make Canceled FP available immediately. In the past few weeks, FoP FPs have been noted to be dropped and made available the “day of” in the mid-morning for afternoon FPs.

Disney has tweaked their FP system and Change Party is now a feature. It’s the only way to guarantee the other party receives your unwanted FPs. It does entail linking MDEs and then using Change Party to transfer the FPs to others who have ticket entitlements.

Just booked for 12/21 - 1/1 and the only days FoP wasn’t available was on 12/21 and 12/22, lots of availability for the rest of the days (at least at 7am).

Did you happen to notice if there is a FP option for Illuminations on NYE? We're going 12/30 - 1/6 so my window doesn't open for a few more days.

Illuminations was not available at all when my window opened for our trip beginning 12/17. Perhaps it's not offered on NYE?

I don't think crowds are going to be that crazy that week. Christmas is on a Monday so most schools are still in session the week before Christmas.

Disney just offered a big holiday package for that week so it's clear they aren't seeing the demand they were expecting.

For another check, try to book a hotel from the 11th-15th. Next to nothing available. Now compare that to the 18th-22nd. Availability pretty much everywhere.
