I'm looking into a junior suite at the Coronado. Has anyone stayed in one? My prior visits were always in the casitas near the pool when my boys were small. They are now teenagers and I need a larger room.
Would love to hear from anyone whose been in one to tell me what it's like. Where are the suites located? Are they near the main building?
Thanks!!!!

Suites are located in the Casitas. A junior suite is essentially two connecting rooms with one of the rooms set up as a living room.
It would be less expensive to get 2 connecting regular rooms at CSR. I just went to WDW with my two teenage cousins and my mother. We got two connecting rooms. I don't know how we would have survived without two bathrooms and two tvs.

2005 rates for various sized suites range from $280 - $1105 a night.

You know your absolutely right! I didn't think of getting 2 connecting rooms but that sounds like the way to go, thanks!!
In the junior suite, however, if the other room is set up like a living room is there also a bed in there so that my DH and I could be in that room and the boys in the other room? Are their 2 bathrooms in the suite because that is a must for me.

Thanks so much for this info, however, I have 2 teenage boys and would prefer either 2 double or 2 queen beds for them.
I'll check out the pics now, thanks.
I, too, would also prefer being close to the main building.

It really is just two connecting rooms - one had a murphy bed with a desk and fax, the other a king. Each had it's own tv and bathroom. Ours was in the Casitas area, but we were told that the Cabanas section has them (which is where we wanted to stay, but they were already taken). We were about a 5 minute walk to the Pepper Market. I agree that getting two connecting rooms is the better way to go - we had an AP rate ressie for a standard room of $79, and then we were upgraded to this room (long story). Definitely would not pay rack rate ($275 - $440) for this room. Here is a link to see the suite:

DisneyFan - Just wanted to give you a heads up - not sure when you are going but you should book it fast. DH had a ressie for 5 nights at CBR and paid the deposit - we forgot to pay the deposit for 5 nights at CSR and when I called last week, they had nothing for our dates in January except for a suite.

I'm not looking into going until the summer but how did you make out? Do you have to pay for the suite now. No reminder call about the deposit? I always thought when you booked you had to give your credit card and make the deposit.
I usually book through a travel agent and I know she always asks for my credit card info because she has to give the one night's deposit.
Hope all works out.

If you book a room-only rate you only need to pay one night's deposit. I always put down a credit card when I make the reservation. It is much easier than mailing in a payment. Some people want to pay via cheque or money order so they have to wait for Disney to mail them an invoice and then mail their deposit back. You only have a certain number of days to do this.
People have reported losing their reservations because the deposit never made it on time.
Disney will not call to remind you about making a deposit payment.
