How are crowds around Halloween?

DH and I will be making our 3rd trip in 18 months this October. I had no idea I was marrying such a Disney fan! On our HM we stayed at CBR, then in December at WL. This trip we will stay at a value and are leaning towards POP. I know that Disney is always crowded but what can we expect from late October? We will be there 10/26 - 10/31. Thanks! :mickeybar

We have always gone in the Fall because it is cheap, least crowded and the weather is very mild (except when Hurricane Mitch came in one year. :sad2: ) In 2001, we were there for Halloween and the crowds were not bad at all, except for MK (Mikey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party), which you would expect. The worst crowds we experienced in Fall was over Election Day. A lot of people get off on that day and make it a 4 day weekend.

we go that time every year since my ds birthday is the 30th...it is a great time to go ..crowds are generally low except for last year which i was told was due to the huirricannes and people re scheduling their vacations... you have to go to mnsshp but dont go on halloween way to crowded...have a great time

HI
We were there for Halloween this last year and it was great - crowds were few, apart from at Epcot (Food & Wine). The weather was fantastic and we were there for 14 nights - no rain and mid 80's daytime temperatures. Went to MNSSHP on 26th October (think it was a Tuesday) and it was great, if busy. I know that Halloween night was sold out and would imagine it would be really really crowded.

Wait times were generally very manageable in all the parks though, but we still used Fastpass on the bigger rides (it would be rude not to!!)

On Halloween itself went over to the Boardwalk for dinner and expected to find activities going on there, but at 7.30pm it looked like anything that had been going on was over so we tried to go to DTD. Waited such a long time for a bus from the Swan and by the time we got over there, everything had ended there - just. We were all dressed up in our Halloween gear and nowhere to go. Motto of this story is probably 'don't go to the Boardwalk on Halloween'.

Shame we're tied to going to WDW in July this year - would go back around Halloween in a heartbeat.
