We were just in a category 6, so I'll try and answer.
There are no irons in any of the cabins, only in the laundry rooms. And due to fire regulations they ask that no one bring their own iron onboard. We sent out a lot of clothes to be pressed when we got onboard and that worked out well. The charge for pressing clothes is half the price of what they charge for dry cleaning. I know there's a list on someone's site with the prices. Let me know if you want it, I'll find it.
No CD or DVD player, just a 13" tv and a phone.
There are two 3-prong outlets at the desk area. I brought an extension cord, just in case, but never had to use it. I used the blowdryer that is built into one of the bathrooms, then plugged my curling iron in at the desk area. You can't plug a curling in, in the bathroom, because the outlet in there is not strong enough to power it up. Believe me on this, because I tried. lol The outlet in the bathroom says "For shavers only", and I guess its right!
