The Wild Side for Teens is already booked for our June cruise.:(

If your teen wants to do this, there are only 24 spots, and evidently they go very quickly in the summer by the first day of booking. I only could start pre-booking 2 days ago.

She's gonna kill me.

Last summer my then 14yo did the Wild Side excursion. Though he enjoyed it, he chose NOT to do it on the cruise we just returned from. I think he just didn't want to have to be up and ready to go at 8:30 am, but he says he wanted to relax and enjoy the island a bit more. He still participated in the group activities on the island in the afternoon including building a raft (not too seaworthy from what I hear) and playing beach games. He had a blast and said he had no regrets about skipping the Wild Side.

Also, there are likely to be tons of teens on your cruise, and your daughter will have plenty of company that don't go on the excursion. Bikes and snorkeling equipment are available to rent so she can still do those with friends or family if she wants to.

Disneyholic-

From DCL, It's time for some action and adventure as you re-trace some of the activities of the first teens on Castaway Cay-Molly and Seth. Snorkeling, biking, and sea kayaking on the wild side of the island will complete this 4 hour adventure. $35.00 ages 13-17 only.

Evidently they get to go to their own part of the island and snorkel there.

You can pre-book 59 days before your sail date and you must be paid in full.

Well, I'm hoping DD won't be too upset, and we can just spend the morning together and then the kids can go off later. Maybe we'll get to hit the adult beach! :D

For some reason, my above reply is not registering in the reply count.

Let's see if this one will.

My daughter, age 15 on our last cruise, couldn't do the Wild Side either. But let me tell you, the weather was real hot and the teens that went on it were exhausted. Some told my daughter that they were just too hot to enjoy it and some felt it was "lame". So what did my daughter do? She got to sleep in a little and hit the teen beach where teens were already gathering. The teens loved it when the youth counselors "kicked" the adults off the teen beach. She just loved whatever they were doing, building the rafts and racing them. But she is a "Commisioner of Spirit" at her high school so she is one of the planners of the fun things they do at lunch time.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: Hello there! If its any consolation, we are going on the June 22 cruise and my two DS, (17 & 13), are not booked on the "Wild Side" activites either. They think that since it is limited to just 24 teens, there will be more teens on the beach (and doing other things-bikeing swimming- exploreing) and just hanging out than there would be in the Wild Side. Looking forward to the cruise!!!!SEE--YAA!!!!

Grumpy and crew-It sounds like you are going on a 7 day! How wonderful! We are leaving on the 23rd for the 4 day. Sorry to miss you.

Well I told DD. She didn't care after I told her what I read on this board, and figures she'll find plenty to do!

Thanks everyone!
